A cloud-based business travel solution, including online booking, expense and mobile capabilities, is being created by Amadeus in conjunction with German software giant SAP.
Amadeus is extending the capabilities of its cloud booking tool with SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense to provide a comprehensive and fully integrated set of solutions.
The aim is to enhance existing Amadeus e-Travel Management self-booking capabilities by adding travel and expense solutions.
This will enable Amadeus to offer an end-to-end service, from booking to expenses refunding.
It claims to be able to cut travel management costs while providing consistency in policy compliance.
SAP Europe, Middle East and Africa president Franck Cohen said: “SAP already has a strong presence in this industry but this partnership will put us right at the heart of it.
“By combining Amadeus’ booking technology with our SAP Cloud Travel and Expense solution, Amadeus can now provide corporations with a unique and innovative way to respond to today’s requirements for travel management and business travellers’ expectations.”
