Travel Counsellors has added agent blogs to its dynamic package system Phenix.

Homeworkers are now able to give their feedback on hotels to help their fellow agents find the right accommodation for customers.

Last month, the company’s five top-selling Travel Counsellors all achieved margins of more than 20%, with the Phenix system the top way of booking.

Using the new blog system, agents can rate hotels on a raft of criteria including service, resort, value for money, location and cleanliness alongside general comments about the quality of the hotel.

Travel Counsellors’ agents now book almost one in three holidays through the Phenix system.

Managing director Steve Byrne said the Phenix system is evolving “from a booking tool into a central database of information”.

Byrne added that the improved information the blogs give its agents will save them time, as well as boost levels of customer service across the group.

Travel Counsellor Heather Rigby said the hotel reviews are a great way for the agents to share their knowledge with each other.

“It will give the company a comprehensive and truthful hotel information system,” she said.
