Travelport and Expedia team up to create UAE online rewards scheme

What is claimed to be the United Arab Emirates’ largest online travel rewards scheme is being launched with support from Travelport and Expedia Affiliate Network.


They are teaming up with local credit card and pre-paid solutions provider Majid Al Futtaim Finance to create Najm Voyager Rewards.


The scheme is designed to meet the distinct travel and lifestyle needs of what is described as the UAE’s “affluent and well-travelled” market segment.


Launched in conjunction with Majid Al Futtaim Finance’s new Najm reward card, it allows Najm Voyager credit card members to spend points on booking flights, hotels and car rental at competitive prices and holiday package deals.


Travelport will provide Majid Al Futtaim Finance with its online expertise and technology including its Travelport Universal API solution enabling travel agencies to streamline the booking process by re-aggregating content from various sources.


This delivers access to more than 360 airlines, car hire companies and rail providers worldwide.

Expedia Affiliate Network will provide the technology to access more than 190,000 properties worldwide with rich content, reviews and ratings.
