Dot-travel consortium Tralliance is to create a network of support partners in Europe in order to enhance its domain name project and vertical search website.

The Partners Programme was launched at ITB Berlin last week and will see a group of “local subject matter experts” recruited to act as customer services and sales support to travel and tourism organisations.

Europe and Africa will be the first regions to be featured in the Partners Programme.

Europe and Middle East managing director, Daniela Wagner, said: “We have listened to the marketplace and have responded to the needs of our constituents in these critical geographic areas.

“Expanding our team to include local partners and product experts will allow Tralliance to provide enhanced customer service and expand the support system to our customers abroad.”

Italy, Greece, France, Hungary, Romania, Austria and Portugal will be the first countries in Europe to be included in the scheme.

Tralliance president Ron Andruff said: “We believe the grassroots marketing and support services provided by our new partners will augment the important guidance and support we continue to receive from so many industry associations with which we continue to collaborate.”
