Former Thomas Cook chief joins board of Intuitive

Former Thomas Cook mainstream chief executive Ian Ailles has been named as chairman of travel software firm Intuitive.

Former Thomas Cook mainstream chief executive Ian Ailles has been named as chairman of travel software firm Intuitive.

His appointment follows a management buyout of the London-based company backed by NVM Private Equity in December 2012.

Ailles, who left Cook at the end of 2012, also served in a number of senior management roles at Wyndham.

Intuitive managing director Paul Nixon said: “Ian’s appointment will further strengthen the Intuitive board, bringing valuable travel industry knowledge and business experience to support us as we strive to implement our strategy.”

Ailles said: “I am delighted to be joining the Intuitive board at such an exciting time in its development. The business is going from strength to strength and I look forward to being an important part of its growth.”
