British Airways unveils ‘travelling milestones’ tool for frequent flyers

British Airways has launched an online flight-tracking tool for members of its frequent flyer scheme.

British Airways has launched an online flight-tracking tool for members of its frequent flyer scheme.

The gamification feature, called My Flightpath, is hosted on ba.com, and allows Executive Club members to look at a timeline of all their flights since joining the loyalty programme.

Ian Romanis, head of customer engagement, said: “We wanted to give customers something that would help them to capture the magic of flying and we’re sure they will enjoy sharing their travelling milestones with their friends.”

The feature charts all the countries and destinations that customers have flown to on a map of the world.

Customers using My Flightpath can also see how many miles they’ve flown since joining the Executive Club and how many times around the world that would be.

In a related feature called My Passport, the airline’s customers are awarded stamps when they reach certain milestones, such as the number of countries they’ve visited or the number of flights they’ve flown.

Flyers can share these achievements with social network contacts on Facebook and Twitter.
