TravelSupermarket commercial team doubles following ‘solid’ growth

Travel comparison website TravelSupermarket has more than doubled its commercial team following a “solid year” of growth in 2013.

The department has grown from four to nine full time positions led by head of commercial and partnerships Cressida Sergeant.

Lina Patel, who has been with the company for nine months, steps up to the position of senior partnerships manager and is supported by two new partnership managers.

Charlotte Dawson joins from Teletext Holidays, having also worked for Global Travel Group for more than three years.

Charlotte will be based in the company’s Ewloe office in Flintshire to manage partners in the north, while also travelling to London on a regular basis to meet with partners in the capital.

Alex Berman joins from lastminute.com where he was trading manager for the brand’s dynamic packaging business, having previously worked for Tui.

Sally Thomas-Davis is promoted to partner integration manager, bringing eight years’ experience in partner relations and technical integration.

David Hull is promoted to partner integration executive.

Annabel Cruddas, who joined as an intern in September, is to take the permanent position of partnerships executive, based in London.

Louise Slater is promoted to advertising executive, also based in London.

The company is seeking to appoint an advertising manager to fill the ninth position as soon as possible.

Sergeant said: “Partner relationships are absolutely crucial to the success and growth of TravelSupermarket in 2014. As we invest and evolve our product across key channels this year, it was also important for us to reinvest in both existing and new talent within the commercial team.

“I am keen for each member of the team to spend time with our partners understanding the insights we can share, the benefits of working with TravelSupermarket and the opportunities the site offers as a visitor source.

“Now we have built such a capable team, we will be working even harder to deliver a first class service to our partners, and ultimately expanding the range of products on offer to customers who visit the site looking for the best deals.”
