Online travel agency makes Sunday Times Best Small Company list
Three travel companies – including an online travel agency – have made it in to this year’s 100 Best Small Companies to Work For.
Online luxury outfit Destinology is the top travel company having been ranked 14 while operator Audley Travel has come in at 28, up five places on last year.
Wholesale trade-only Albatross Travel Group has just crept in at 99.
The list is compiled by The Sunday Times, and takes into account the views of employees and policies of employers.
Performance is measured in eight key indicators of workplace contentment covering leadership, management, immediate colleagues, pay and benefits, well-being, the firm’s willingness to give something back, people’s personal development and staff’s overall sense of affiliation with their employers.
Destinology managing director Dominic Speakman said: “We’ve put together a way of working where all our staff are self-motivated and we make sure we take on the right people so the culture is right. It’s all about getting a positive environment.”
