Vayant Travel Technologies is to start offering budget airline fares from around 80 carriers in a deal with Pyton Communication Services.
The tie-up means online shopping services powered by Vayant will now be able to provide customers with low-cost and traditional airline fares simultaneously.
Vayant will integrate Pyton’s Elsy Arres low-cost API into all Vayant product lines.
Pyton will handle bookings for low-cost carrier tickets, providing the technical interface between Vayant’s shopping system and the low-cost airlines’ reservation systems.
Eric Dumas, chief executive of Vayant, said: “Today’s travel shopper demands seamless experiences, choice and value.
“By partnering with Pyton, Vayant can help travel sellers give their shoppers the widest possible choice.
“By marrying Pyton’s Elsy Arres API with Vayant’s patented shopping and search technology, we can deliver the speed, accuracy and quality of experience that shoppers expect.”
Peter Boneschansker, chief executive of Pyton, added: “Pyton is pleased to partner with Vayant and to contribute to this important content extension in Vayant’s innovative technology.
“We believe that this partnership will bring travel sellers that are using the Vayant and Pyton technologies together unique competitive advantages in the market place.”
Pyton joins a community of Vayant partners which now includes 2e Systems, Hitchiker, OpenJaw Technologies, anixe and Peakwork.
