TripAdvisor appoints Lew Harasymiw to new director role
TripAdvisor has created a new role of director of connectivity solutions which has been taken by Lew Harasymiw, previously with Sabre.
He will oversee product development for TripAdvisor Direct Connect Solutions, such as TripConnect, as part of the company’s efforts to deliver interface solutions for booking engine partners.
Harasymiw was director of interface solutions for Sabre Hospitality Solutions, where he was responsible for its technology partner programme.
He said: “Having worked in technology for over 17 years now, I’m pleased to be joining an innovative company like TripAdvisor that is developing technology solutions to help smaller accommodation businesses drive direct bookings.
“I am looking forward to working closely with our internet booking engine partners to provide the best, most efficient and comprehensive connectivity for the benefit of hoteliers and B&B owners.”
More than 200 internet booking engines are now certified as TripConnect providers, through which over 65,000 hotels and bed and breakfast providers can now participate in hotel price comparison, or metasearch, on TripAdvisor.
