MyFirstChoice app joins MyThomson as part of mobile service offered by Tui

Tui Travel is looking to build on the success of its MyThomson mobile app with the launch of one for sister all-inclusive tour operating brand First Choice.

MyThomson has seen 220,000 downloads since launch last year and Tui says it is sees an average of 10,000 customers using it every day.

A new version has been launched for both iOS and Android devices along with the first MyFirstChoice app and a television campaign to support the development.

Like the MyThomson app, MyFirstChoice offers customers a functionality to manage all aspects of their booking on one place.

It provides vital information on weather, a holiday checklist, airport details and foreign exchange information as well as a holiday summary and the ability to book excursions.

Tui sees the mobile apps as the way it will increasingly communicate with its customers before, during and after their trips and will add further functionality in future versions.

The updated MyThomson app has had a redesign and new features added similar to those on the MyFirstChoice app. It is now also available on Android.

Tui says 88% of users return more than once and almost half of all users have accessed the app more than 15 times. The most popular destinations being viewed on the app are Mexico, Turkey and Egypt, with morning and evening commutes proving to be the most popular time to log in and discover more about an upcoming holiday.
