Car hire price comparison site has credited its work with marketing agency SYYCO for a 61% uplift in revenues through affiliates in the seven months to January.

SYYCO has been taken on for an additional 12 months following having doubled year-on-year business through the channel since starting to work with the company in June 2013.

Simon Terry, managing director of SYYCO, said: “We were given the challenge to double the affiliate business over 12 months and we are well on track to do so.”

SYYCO said it achieved the results by focusing on one affiliate network – Trade Doubler – and by re-activating lapsed affiliates and improving conversion rates.

Exclusive rates and a new tiered commission structure were introduced, along with a more proactive recruitment and engagement process.

SYYCO also helped extend its product portfolio to value brands by securing supply agreements with suppliers like Car del Mar and Easirent.

Gareth Robinson, managing director, said: “Simon’s team has worked hard to secure our business and it makes sense to carry on with a winning formula.

“SYYCO’s experience in the travel sector helped them win the initial contract but this new deal is based on proven success.”
