Jet2 Holidays has unveiled a fully transactional mobile app for its package holidays.
Available for both iPhone and Android devices, the app gives access to the operator’s deals across the Canaries, Mediterranean and European cities, with the option to filter results by type, star rating and board basis.
The launch, which Jet 2 claims is a first for a major UK tour operator, follows on from the success of Jet2.com’s flights app, which has been downloaded more than 80,000 times in its first year.
The holidays app allows users to browse hotels on resort maps, save preferred departure points and occupancy to speed up search, and pay securely.
Chief executive Steve Heapy, said: “In this digital age, we’re finding an increasing number of people are using their mobiles to browse for holidays – whether from the comfort of their sofa or during their daily commute. We therefore wanted to give our loyal customers even more freedom and flexibility when it comes to searching and securing breaks.”
