Amadeus boosts IT and sales divisions with new hires

GetThere EMEA director Guy Snelgar is joining Amadeus IT Group as UK and Ireland head of sales and consulting.

GetThere EMEA director Guy Snelgar is joining Amadeus IT Group as UK and Ireland head of sales and consulting.

He is joined at the advanced technology solutions business by My Vacations Group sales director John Prentice as senior sales and consulting manager – leisure, for the UK and Ireland.

They will both be based at Amadeus UK’s head office at Gatwick.

Snelgar will oversee Amadeus’ consulting work, helping existing and prospective customers with bespoke IT and optimised processes. Prentice will be developing and implementing tailored solutions to help customers.

Amadeus UK and Ireland commercial director Maria Whiteman said: “2013 was our best year ever in terms of booking production and we are determined to build on that momentum.

“That’s why the time is right to invest in and expand our sales and consulting department and I am especially pleased to be announcing the addition of two highly skilled and experienced industry professionals.
