TTE Preview: Traveltek to unveil enhanced iCruise platform

An enhanced next generation iCruise platform is to be showcased by Traveltek from next week.

An enhanced next-generation iCruise platform is to be showcased by Traveltek from next week.

The latest version provides ‘revolutionary’ cruise packaging features that enable travel agents and wholesalers to pre-package cruise sailings with ‘clusters’ of options for pre and post-hotels, flights, transfer and tours.

It allows customers to upgrade to different levels of cruise cabin, flight class and hotel star rating within the online booking process.

The software has been developed by working with leading cruise packaging agents and online travel agents.

Global sales director Peter Whittle said “Our latest release of iCruise really is another cruise industry first from Traveltek, providing agents, wholesalers and GSAs with the opportunity to easily generate upsell revenues, efficiently and quickly package thousands of different cruise package options and intelligently suggest other sailings and packages the client may be interested in based on their search criteria and customer profile.

“Traditional dynamic packaging can sometimes provide too much choice for the customer online and elongate the online buying process.

“Our platform, which has just been launched in the UK, will be rolled out in Australia and other international markets over the coming weeks.”

He claimed it had already delivered a “significant upturn” in online bookings of cruise packages and incremental revenue from upgraded hotel, flight, transfer and tour options.

The new iCruise platform is being displayed at a series of international trade shows:
