The award-winning Travel Weekly print magazine is now available on tablets and smartphones via new apps for Apple and Android.

The Travel Weekly On the Move apps will make Travel Weekly the first weekly travel trade magazine to be available on desktop computers, Apple and Android devices.

A new digital platform will also offer opportunities to expand and enhance content in the print magazine with the addition of videos and photo galleries within news stories, features and adverts.

Stuart Parish, managing director of Travel Weekly Group, said: “We are delighted to be launching Travel Weekly On the Move and ensuring our readers and commercial partners can access their weekly magazine where and when they want it.”

Editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley added: “We know our readers are increasingly using their tablets and smartphones to engage with their favourite media, so it is fantastic to be able to offer them the chance to read their favourite weekly trade magazine in print, on their desktops or on the move.”

Travel Weekly was named Travel Trade Publication of the Year at the recent British Travel Press Awards, and also completed a clean sweep of trade awards with the Online Publication, Trade Writer and Feature of the Year honours.

The Travel Weekly On the Move apps were officially unveiled at the Globe Travel Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday night.

The apps are available via the Apple App Store and ‘Google Play.
