Conferma takes WebPay mobile with first app

Virtual payments technology specialist Conferma has developed a mobile solution, it’s first app.

WebPay Mobile will be available for use on all iOS Apple devices, including being optimised for iPads, and Windows devices.

They will be available to download from the relevant app stores from early 2014 for use by WebPay account holders.

The app can generate 16-digit Virtual Card Numbers (VCNs) and was developed for travellers and corporate needing to agree payments while on the move.

Corporate travellers can generate VCNs to settle hotel stays, flights, car rentals and rail tickets.

WebPay Mobile can also be used for B2B payments, just like its desktop equivalent.

The VCNs are then processed by the supplier in the same manner as any Cardholder Not Present (CNP) transaction.

Simon Barker, Conferma chief executive, said: “At Conferma, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation in payments technology.

“Given the growth in corporate travellers using portable devices such as mobiles and tablets to perform everyday business functions, developing a mobile app that allows our customers to pay for travel reservations on the move using VCNs was a natural extension of this innovation.”
