Ryanair and Hertz extend .com partnership to cover budget car brands

Low-cost carrier Ryanair has extended its agreement with car hire supplier Hertz to cover its budget brands Thrifty and Firefly.

Low-cost carrier Ryanair has extended its agreement with car hire supplier Hertz to cover its budget brands Thrifty and Firefly.

The three brands in the group will be available on the Ryanair.com website as part of the new deal which ruins to 2020.

The Ryanair-Hertz partnership was first struck 15 years ago and includes an integrated booking system and exclusive special offers.

Ryanair customers can book Hertz vehicles at all of the 185 airports it operates to.

Michael Cawley, Ryanair deputy chief executive, said: “We are pleased to extend our successful car hire partnership with Hertz.

“Ryanair will carry over 81 million passengers this year at the lowest fares, connecting 185 airports through over 1,600 routes, and this partnership has allowed Ryanair passengers to access Hertz great value car hire.

“We are confident that millions more Ryanair passengers will opt for Hertz, Thrifty and Firefly car rentals when they travel on any of Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fare flights.”
