Travel metasearch site has started the countdown to the kick off of next year’s football World Cup by launching dedicated pages for the tournament.

The 2014 World Cup will take place in Brazil, meaning England fans wanting to see their team live will be on the lookout for the best deals for travel and accommodation.

The idea for the themed pages came from Dealchecker’s resident Brazil enthusiast Alice Mariscotti-Wyatt and her co-editor and fooball-fan Em Horrigan.

Mariscotti-Wyatt said: “The World Cup is an event that unites sports fans from across the globe.

The pages provide a tailored flight and accommodation search facility, goal updates, fixture lists, England match dates and dedicated destination guides for all 12 host cities.

When users click through to the relevant host city for their chosen matches there is a tailored hotel and flight search facility, fixture lists tailored to the host city, images and a destination.
