Multicom is offering travel customers a new service to help them achieve compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

Multicom itself achieved compliance earlier this year having integrated payments into its FindandBook platform as part of its MultiCommerce initiative.

PCI-DSS compliance means a firm has proven that its payment card data and booking systems are secure and trustworthy.

Multicom has joined forces with a specialist PCI compliance Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) to offer support to its customers who are aiming to complete their own assessments.

Managing Director John Howell said: “Travel businesses who need to achieve the PCI DSS standard for either their own systems or those of suppliers could potentially face hefty fines and additional charges being levied by their acquiring banks if they fail to meet the deadline.

“For many of them to achieve compliance in a timely fashion will mean significant investment of time and money if they are to ensure all of their systems and products meet the demanding standards of the PCI.

“However, by offering our support to customers who can benefit from the knowledge and expertise we have gained from completing the process we believe that many of them will welcome the opportunity to help them achieve the required standard.

“Working with an experienced QSA we will enable them to review and ensure their systems are ready to be audited for compliance.”

Multicom customers interested in the new service are being urged to contact their account manager.
