A mobile app for business travellers has been unveiled by Egencia.
TripNavigator will allow corporate travellers to review and amend their bookings on-the-go using mobile devices, with features including real-time travel update alerts, itinerary reviews, and the ability to browse and book local hotels.
The worldwide launch follows a recent ‘Future of Travel’ survey by Expedia and Egencia which found that 70% of 18 to 30-year-old professionals use mobile devices when booking travel or monitoring their trip in Europe.
Egencia TripNavigator incorporates technology from Expedia’s acquisition of mobile travel apps builder Mobiata ,with a design that has been optimised for business travel.
Developed with feedback from Egencia customers, the app provides travellers with step-by-step navigation, much like a GPS device offers driving directions, and features access to Egencia’s global hotel inventory.
The app provide the same hotel choices, policy-compliant options and peer reviews available on the company’s web site.
Egencia TripNavigator is available to Egencia clients from Egencia apps on the iOS platform. Egencia says it will deliver the functionality in native app format for Android phones early next year.
