A luxury arm has been introduced by online holiday rental marketplace HomeAway.

The Luxury Rentals from HomeAway site will feature featuring almost 800 rental options in 20 countries.

The properties range from large villas to expansive estates featuring amenities such as helicopter landing pads, equestrian centres and stables, gourmet kitchens and access to a private yacht.

The new division is being curated by the international luxury travel experts at Andrew Harper – best known for its luxury travel publication Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report.

Before being selected for the site, properties are evaluated using a proprietary rating system developed exclusively for HomeAway. The rating system is comprised of a 75-point screening process that evaluates elements such as price, services, location and amenities.

HomeAway chief executive Brian Sharples said: “We created Luxury Rentals from HomeAway as the ultimate resource for the growing number of travelers looking to stay in truly exceptional vacation accommodations.

“Over time, we expect it to become the largest global resource for finding luxury rentals from both individual owners and high-end property managers.”
