Traveltek is to create a brand new operations division within the company, headed by ex-Galileo senior executive Kirsty Orr.
Orr joins the Scottish travel technology outfit on March 12 and will begin building the team at its East Kilbride office.
The move follows a solid period of growth for TravelTek in recent years following its development of dynamic packaging and cruise software for the trade.
Managing director Kenny Picken said: “It is vitally important that we maintain and improve upon our communication with all our clients, whether it be a sales or a support conversation and to make this happen we need someone with a strong operational background.
“Kirsty’s experience will be invaluable to us and we are very excited to have her join us and help us through this next phase of our expansion.”
Orr has spent the past 13 years running the Galileo sales team in Scotland.
“The travel industry is for ever changing and Traveltek are at the forefront of these changes,” Orr said.
“This is a very exciting time in travel and I’m pleased to be joining such a dynamic company with a tremendous portfolio of Internet applications.”
