Travelzoo appoints ex-Telegraph director to newly created role

Telegraph Media Group planning and analysis director Richard Harte is joining Travelzoo in a newly created role.

Telegraph Media Group planning and analysis director Richard Harte is joining Travelzoo in a newly created role.

He becomes director of yield and analysis for Travelzoo Europe, responsible for maximising yield and inventory for UK, Germany, France and Spain.

Harte will also assist European managing director Richard Singer and country managers with strategic planning and investment decisions.

Additionally, he will lead the company in driving the growth of international publishing revenue and provide detailed analysis of performance for all Travelzoo media and local deals products.

Harte will oversee content management for the Travelzoo website and ensure that its 6.5 million European subscribers receive the best travel and entertainment deals.

Singer said that Harte was instrumental in the development of the Telegraph’s subscription strategy and online growth.

“Richard brings with him years of analytics and forecasting skills, as well as significant online and offline experience,” he said.

“His energy and passion will be invaluable in moving Travelzoo forward, providing the most relevant and engaging offers for our subscribers and developing the media opportunities for our clients.”
