Bedbank.net, the accommodation website for the travel trade, has added a string of new destinations to its portfolio and carried out an upgrade of its online booking system.

Trade customers will now be able to make online bookings via their own websites through an XML feed from Bedbank.net.

Bedbank, a joint venture between the technology outfit, the Vertical Group, and home-working agency, Future Travel, has added resorts in the Eastern Mediterranean and a collection of worldwide citybreaks to its inventory.

There are plans to add more content to Bedbank during the first quarter of 2006.

Vertical Group chief executive, Peter Healey, said: “Bedbank has not forgotten the old travel values and places a high emphasis on customer service and product delivery and all at highly competitive rates.

“We have a great working relationship with our agents with both website and call centre.

“Our team is approachable and friendly as well as highly knowledgeable about all of our properties on sale.”

Access to Bedbank is by registration-only, to ensure only ABTA-accredited agents benefit from its packages.
