HotelClub to launch major consumer survey

Online accommodation brand HotelClub is to embark on a major consumer survey that will eventually see the publication of a book in the UK & Ireland identifying the best hotels in the region.


The project from the Travelport-owned brand will be launched this week and follows the successful completion of similar recent surveys for Australia & New Zealand and Asia.


The results of the survey are expected this summer and the book will be produced by travel specialist Insight Guides in January 2008.


Igor Jovicic, country manager in UK & Ireland for HotelClub, said: “Consumers are the ultimate winners in this survey. They have the opportunity to vote on their favourite hotels and share their hotel experience with others.


“This survey allows HotelClub to find out which hotels are the best and helps identify any new and upcoming hotels, so we can continue to deliver on our promise of being the online accommodation specialist website.”


The survey will be carried out in conjunction with fellow Travelport brands Ebookers and Octopus Travel, alongside GermanWingsGay Times and Paramount Comedy.
