Airport lounge access programme Priority Pass has launched an Instagram campaign to capture airport life and culture.

Travellers are being invited to share their airport images using the hasttag #airportlives, and a winner every month will be chosen to receive standard plus membership with Priority Pass.

The firm says airports are among the most frequently photographed locations by people with mobile devices.

According to Instagram, two of the most photographed locations worldwide are airports, including the number one location, Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (pictured). Los Angeles (LAX) is in sixth place.

Stephen Simpson, Priority Pass global marketing director, said: “Airports lend themselves to mobile photography. Travellers often have time to kill and constantly see interesting little memories they want to capture on their journey.

“As a business that lives and breathes airport culture, we wanted to collate and compile the best examples of airport photography.”

To enter the #airportlives competition, entrants can upload their photo to Instagram using the #airportlives hashtag and tagging @PriorityPass.

Every week Priority Pass will showcase the best entries on its social media channels, including its Facebook page and Tumblr blog.

Existing Priority Pass members who are chosen as one of the monthly winners will receive a prize of equivalent value to standard plus membership.

Priority Pass provides frequent travelers with airport lounge access, irrespective of their class of travel, airline flown or existing membership in an airline loyalty program.

Launched in 1992, it offers more than 600 airport lounges worldwide in 300 cities in over 100 countries.
