Travel technology specialist Multicom has underlined its international growth plans by naming a business development manager for Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Travel technology specialist Multicom has underlined its international growth plans by naming a business development manager for Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Andreas Bieber joins from Frankfurt-based HitchHiker where he was international sales director and business development manager.

He has nine years experience in selling software solutions for the travel industry at HitchHiker, with a focus on booking engine integrations for scheduled fares and GDS connectivity.

The appointment underpins Multicom’s overseas growth push and his role will be to develop the company’s reach into Europea and Asia for its FindandBook, PowerSearch, MultiCommerce and WebVoyage services.

Multicom managing director John Howell said: “The appointment of Andreas strengthens our senior management team and provides a dedicated resource and focus on our overseas growth.

“Andreas will bring a thorough knowledge and understanding of the global marketplace in those territories that provide excellent opportunities for Multicom to prosper and expand our business.”
