An integrated booking engine for small, medium-sized and niche travel sellers is being introduced in the UK by Amadeus.
Amadeus e-Power provides scalable booking technology that is purpose-built to make websites fully transactional without the costs associated with implementing a more complex, customisable solution.
The tool is built on Amadeus Master Pricer technology, which is used by many of the biggest names in online travel.
It enables consumers to find and book air fares, including budget carriers, on any given date, as well as search for the best travel options on or around a given date using Master Pricer Calendar.
Amadeus UK marketing director Rob Sinclair-Barnes said: “These days, a high percentage of consumers go online to do research before even speaking to their preferred travel professional.
“This smarter technology from Amadeus helps travel sellers and their customers become better connected by affording them the opportunity to do trip planning research through the travel sellers’ own site – and if they choose to, book the offer there and then.
“With more than 12 travel sellers having recently launched – or preparing to launch – Amadeus e-Power on their own websites in the UK, we’re confident that this solution will be a real boost to smaller and niche travel professionals who are looking to serve the needs of 21st century travellers and boost growth in their online sales.”
