Currency exchange provider Travelex is moving to streamline its operational systems and drive business IT efficiencies.

Software provider Talend’s enterprise integration platform is being used. The solution is being implemented by Talend partner Steria, a business service provider.

It is being implemented first in the UK and will subsequently be rolled out across another 25 countries.

Travelex chief information officer Derek Usher said: “We were looking for a solution that could provide a combination of cost-effectiveness, breadth of functionality and agility, while enabling us both to rapidly develop an interface to our solutions or processes and to develop the product quickly and intuitively configure it.

“We were impressed that we were able to try the solution out and build fully functioning prototypes using free, downloadable software from a reliable global and trusted software vendor.”

Talend global sales vice president François Méro said: “For ambitious, forward-looking companies like Travelex, operational agility is critically important.

“Leading edge organisations like Travelex need to find ways of delivering this agility to maintain and increase their competitive advantage. We expect that Talend’s integration solutions will play a key role for Travelex now and in the future.”
