Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has named online distributor SiteMinder as one of its preferred channel manager vendors.
The company will assist in managing the online distribution of Hyatt’s brand portfolio.
The agreement came as the company continued its global expansion by naming David Chestler, as executive vice-president for the Americas.
Global sales and marketing executive director David Williams said: “The newly established relationship with a globally recognised hotel group Hyatt is a vote of confidence in SiteMinder’s ability to bolster the group’s online visibility.
“We now look forward to forging a stronger relationship with Hyatt – one that is mutually beneficial and drives business results.
“Online bookings have become such an essential part of any distribution strategy and the management of those channels – from OTAs to wholesaler channels to the GDSs – needs to done in a cost-effective way to ultimately help hotels drive their bottom line.”
