New group trip planning online marketplace Tripobox has launched in beta.

New group trip planning online marketplace Tripobox has launched in beta.

The California and Spain-based start-up was founded by group travel experts Marco Toscano, Fabiola Jaquero and Raphael Gernot in 2012.

As well as a social platform for members of a group to collaborate on planning and booking their trip Tripobox offers an innovative payment method so the cost can be split.

Tripobox currently only features three destinations; San Francisco New York and Barcelona. But London, Amsterdam and Berlin, are being developed and are expected to be live by the end of this summer.

By summer 2014, Tripobox hopes to have added other popular city destinations in the US and Europe including Los Angeles, Chicago, Paris and Rome.
