Brendan Crawford, regional director for Europe at Octopus Travel, has quit the company to join search engine marketing specialist Latitude.

The new position of account director will give Crawford responsibility for generating new business and optimising revenue with existing clients.

Crawford is expected to spearhead Latitude’s effort to make major in-roads into the online travel marketplace.

Crawford, who will report to the agency’s chief operating officer, Richard Gregory, has previously worked for Priceline.com and Lastminute.com.

“Search is cutting edge business and when you put measurability and marketing into the same sentence it is a very exciting and attractive proposition,” he said.
