Four and five star hotels in overseas beach resorts are being offered at discounts of up to 50% off in a new initiative by Lowcostbeds.com.

Destinations for the ‘secret ? hotels’ include Crete, Corfu, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, Spain, Portugal and Dubai.

Holidaymakers do not know the name of the property until they have confirmed their booking.

But group sales director Paul Riches said: “This is not an allocated on arrival-style offer, as agents and customers will be told exactly where they are staying, immediately after the booking is confirmed.

“The concept of selling ‘unnamed hotels’ is not new – but this is a first for beach holidays,” he claimed. “This new programme gives our customers fantastic savings so that they can really live the high life on holiday for a low price. We are launching with a unique collection of top beach destinations and will add additional destinations later this year.”

Seven nights bed and breakfast at a four star hotel in Turkey in July starts at £54 per person.

All inclusive prices lead in at £121pp for seven nights at a five star property in Sharm El Sheikh this month.

The move follows research showing that holidaymakers have never been so value driven. On average they search over 20 holiday sites, and up to 90% of bookers visit holiday price comparison and review sites, according to the company.

Riches added: “Our team of direct contractors have negotiated savings of up to 50% off the normal contract rate at 4 and 5 star hotels.

“What customers won’t know until they have confirmed their booking is the name of the hotel but they will be given a detailed description of the property at the time of booking and the guarantee that the hotel is 4 or 5 star quality.

“Hotels who are struggling to full their rooms are choosing Lowcostbeds to sell those rooms at fantastic prices.”
