Amadeus is to expand its relationship with the Advantage Focus Partnership to include facilities to handle corporate travel bookings.

The agreement will give Advantage access to the e-Travel Management self-booking business tool and will include training and support workshops.

Advantage, the UK-based consortium of travel agents, said the development follows an increase in interest from members for enhanced functionality with booking tools.

Director of business travel, Norman Gage, said: “Over the past months, we have seen an upturn in requests for self-booking solutions and we expect this trend to continue in the months and years to come.

“In an increasingly competitive marketplace, our Focus Partnership customers won’t settle for anything less than the most advanced technology to help manage their booking process online.”

Amadeus upgraded the e-Travel Management tool in December 2006.

Klaus Goddard, head of Amadeus e-Travel UK, said: “We continually invest in our technology to reflect ongoing developments in the corporate travel market, and the recent enhancements we have made to Amadeus e-Travel Management v10.0 make it even simpler and more user friendly than ever.”
