Steenland announced as new Travelport chairman

Douglas Steenland has stepped up to become chairman of Travelport in place of Jeff Clarke.

Douglas Steenland has stepped up to become chairman of Travelport in place of Jeff Clarke.

Steenland has been vice chairman since August 2011 and takes over from Clarke who had been in the top role for just over a year.

Clarke will continue to serve as a director and will chair the company’s audit committee as well as serve on the compensation committee.

The changes at the top follow a recent refinancing of the group.

President and chief executive Gordon Wilson said: “I am delighted to have both an industry expert of Doug’s calibre serving as chairman of Travelport and the continuity of Jeff’s contribution to our company in this board position.”
