Adventure operator Tucan Travel is offering an extra 5% discount on group tours to Facebook followers after hitting 100,000 likes on the social network.
The limited time offer can be claimed by clicking on a link on Facebook to access a voucher code. Users then provide details of the code to travel agents or direct with the operator to qualify.
Chief executive Matt Gannan said: “Facebook is the platform that allows us to keep in touch with our loyal customers, attract new ones and promote some of the incredible experiences that we have on offer.
“Over the course of the year, we have seen our Facebook followers flourish. We want to ensure that those who follow us get something back and by offering a further 5% off our tours, we hope that people continue to engage with us on this platform.”
The 5% discount, which is available until April 17, can be combined a 15% discount applicable to tours with late availability offers.
The promotion follows Tucan introducing its ‘Meet Up’ app which can be downloaded to Apple and Android phones and be accessed via Facebook.
“With over 60% of their passengers being single travellers, the accessibility of this app allows those nervous or apprehensive about travelling to seek reassurance from those in similar situations,” the company said.
“This makes Tucan Travel’s Facebook page even more important for generating that pre-holiday buzz and excitement.”
