Prepaid MasterCard currency card provider my Travel Cash is introducing a mobile app.
It will allow users to top up their card, manage their account, check balance details and recent transactions, access help and FAQs and report their card lost or stolen.
The company says the app has been created using bank-grade security and uses payment card industry standards to protect users’ details.
Users need to set up a personalised log-in and password on registration to access their my Travel Cash account and enter their bank card details when they want to transfer funds.
Payments are made via the Realex secure mobile payment system.
The app is available from the App Store and Google Play and is compatible with iPhones and Android smartphones.
Company chief executive Myles Stephenson said: “Our development team is constantly looking for ways to make the end service as easy for our customers as possible, and with so many holidaymakers and travellers using smartphones, a mobile app seemed an obvious next step.
“Having a prepaid card can be beneficial to those who want to keep abreast of the currency markets and top up their currency at a favourable rate. My Travel Cash Card does not charge for ATM withdrawals and we even offer 1% cashback on all purchases made on the card.”
