Online travel agency On the Beach has signed its first deal with a GDS.
The company has agreed to work with Travelport to use its API technology.
This will allow the OTA, which handles more than 900,000 customers a year, to break into new hotel and flight options outside its current destination profile.
Head of supply Andy Tilby-Baxter said: “Travelport’s uAPI technology allows us to tap-in to new flight and hotel content to build on our traditional beach travel product, and significantly grow our scheduled air offerings.
“It opens up a whole new area for us to grow, and provides our customers with even more options to create exciting travel experiences.”
