TripAdvisor acquires photo app Tiny Post

Tiny Post, an app that lets users write over photos and turn them into stories, has been taken over by TripAdvisor for an undisclosed sum.

Tiny Post, an app that lets users write over photos and turn them into stories, has been taken over by TripAdvisor for an undisclosed sum.

The Tiny Post team will move to be based in TripAdvisor’s Palo Alto office.

TripAdvisor co-founder and chief executive Steve Kaufer said: “The Tiny Post team have created a wonderful app that shows the possibilities of combining travel photos with social and mobile.

“We think Tiny Post is a great fit with our continued drive to provide engaging and sharable content and I am happy to welcome this strong team to TripAdvisor.”
