Leading cruise lines and a “host of benefits” for agents and OTAs are being promised as Multicom prepares to launch a new cruise API.

Leading cruise lines and a “host of benefits” for agents and OTAs are being promised as Multicom prepares to launch a new cruise API.

The bookable API will feature all content in a single system, offer direct links to cruise bookings systems and normalise data.

This will allow access to all cruise systems from a single entry point and provide commonality to enable users to navigate each cruise line simply.

The cruise API will be integrated into Multicom’s FindandBook system to utilise existing functionality of the booking system for flights, accommodation, transfers and other related ancillary products.

Carnival UK lines Cunard, P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises as well as Royal Caribbean Cruise Line brands Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises will feature.

Holland America Line, Costa Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line are due to be integrated into the system shortly.

The technology company expects to announce a launch customer for its cruise API in the near future.

Multicom managing director John Howell said: “We have developed an API that will offer all cruise content from one point of access and is fully bookable with all cruise lines, a unique combination that none of our competitors can currently offer.

“Agents and OTAs will find that proposition extremely attractive, saving both time and costs which nobody can afford to ignore in the current climate.”
