Air Tahiti extends deal with Expedia Affiliate Network

South Pacific international carrier Air Tahiti Nui has extended a partnership with Expedia Affiliate Network to use the latest version of the Chameleon hotel retailing platform.

South Pacific international carrier Air Tahiti Nui has extended a partnership with Expedia Affiliate Network to use the latest version of the Chameleon hotel retailing platform.

This enables the airline to expand its hotel offering to all points of sale, with key markets including France, Japan, New Zealand and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada.

The hotel offering aims to encourage more travellers to Tahiti and the South Pacific.

The airline is offering a 10% discount across all hotel accommodation purchased through its websites until the end of the month as a result of the deal.

The agreement also allows travellers to gain phone support for sales and inquiries, as well as user-generated content from TripAdvisor.

Air Tahiti Nui chief executive Etienne Howan said: “Our extended partnership with EAN considerably strengthens our distribution strategy, adding to our direct sales platform.

“We’re confident the deal will help us towards our goal of improving our customer service and making travel easier, so we can entice more travellers from around the world to enjoy Tahiti and the South Pacific.”

Expedia Affiliate Network vice president and Asia Pacific managing director Christopher Williams added: “This is a hugely exciting deal for EAN, as it allows us to build on the strength of our existing partnership with Air Tahiti Nui, and help them radically expand its accommodation offering.

“The APAC region continues to be one of the most dynamic and innovative parts of the global travel industry, and we’re delighted to be a part of that.”
