Travelport has proposed the closure of its office in Glasgow as it moves its ‘tele accounts’ team to its head office in Langley.

Travelport has proposed the closure of its office in Glasgow as it moves its ‘tele accounts’ team to its head office in Langley.

Staff have entered a consultation period over the proposed move. Three staff at the office deal with tele accounts, which are Travelport’s smallest accounts, and two staff look after Scottish travel agent accounts.

Travolution understands account manager David Bulloch will remain with the company on the road, but it is not yet known whether sales manager Margaret Paton will stay.

A Travelport spokesman said: “This is not a reflection of us pulling out of Scotland. It is positive news for us as we want the team which looks after smaller accounts to be with the rest of the sales team.”
