KDS and Conferma team up to create virtual payment platform

A virtual business travel payment platform is being created through a partnership between European travel and expense (T&E) management provider KDS and T&E booking, settlement and reconciliation technology firm Conferma.

The companies say all sensitive payment card details will be encrypted and secured by Conferma to eliminate the handling, processing and storage of credit card data for customers.

Transactions are “inherently secure,” while enhanced data capture prior to payments being made also reduces the risk of fraud by employees.

Conferma commercial director Shaun Hinds said: “We’re delighted that, through this partnership, more corporates and their business travellers can benefit from our automated settlement and reconciliation solution as an integrated part of their expense management process.”

KDS global business development director Hubert Martin said: “This partnership will facilitate our client travel management and will ultimately help them reduce their spend.

“Travel managers can now have at their fingertips a high quality, accurate and full audit trail that helps drive corporate governance, adherence to policies and enhanced supplier management.”

The company’s senior vice president products and partners Oliver Quayle added: “KDS have promised business travellers simple, mobile and smart technology to make their lives on the road less painful, this partnership further enables KDS to deliver on just that promise.”
