Cheapflights’ metasearch site for flights, Momondo, is sponsoring 27 of Europe’s most promising young actors, artists musicians and sports stars.

The ’Local Fighters’ campaign aims to support a diverse range of young, talented people including three from the UK.

These include exciting England under-19 cricketer Daniel Bell-Drummond, aspiring east London fashion designer Elnaz Niknani and singer/songwriter Johnny Tremorheart.

Martin Lumbye, Momondo director, said: “Momondo was launched as a consumer site, so it’s important for us to be out there among people in the real world, where life is being lived.

“Through the years, Momondo has gained international attention, and we would like to use this attention to support the local heroes and talents around the world – young people who get up every morning and fight for what they believe in, who are driven by their passion and their desire to achieve extraordinary results.

“In other words, we support those who live their dream and who follow the idea that an open world is a better world – this is our modest contribution.”

As well as three UK ‘Local Fighters’ Momondo is also supporting others in nine different countries including Germany, Finland, Russia, Norway, Sweden, France, Denmark and the Netherlands.
