360TravelGuide.com is to end 2006 on a high note after signing a deal to supply its 360-degree images tool for resorts and cities to almost 11,000 travel agent desktops nationwide.

The 360TravelPacks, which feature around 50 individual destinations, will be available to agents using technology provided by RedSkyIT.

The majority of the customers will come from the Advantage consortium of travel agents.

Each pack features panoramic images of destinations alongside commissioned content and interactive maps.

A further 400 travel agency websites are included in the deal.

360TravelGuide.com marketing director Paul Baderman said: “The RedSkyIT deal gives us increased exposure in the travel agency market and access to an enviable customer base.

“Our 360TravelPacks will provide a vital resource for agents to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of destinations, help close deals and generally enhance the customer experience.”

The deal follows a major partnership signed with TW Group’s Gazetteers.com that will see 360TravelGuide create virtual tours of 1,000 city and resort hotels each year.

The RedSkyIT deal is scheduled to run initially for 12 months.

RedSkyIT general manager Brian Sheerin said: With the help of 360TravelGuide.com we hope to enhance further the buying experience for consumers by linking this exciting, media rich, city and resort information to our comprehensive holiday and flight content.”
