Teletext Holidays has revealed further plans for its major online push for 2007 including the launch of a specialist website for luxury travellers and another for UK holidays.

Both sites are expected to be launched in Spring 2007 and follow earlier announcements about a range of new sites for 2007 to target niche markets.

The luxury holidays site will be designed and built by website consultancy Nucleus and focus on providing high-end trips to the so-called “the cash-rich-time-poor, empty nesters and affluent travellers” in the market not traditionally served by Teletext Holidays.

The UK-focused site will include holidays to guest houses, B&Bs, hotels and country cottages.

Both sites will be named in the New Year.

Teletext Holidays online commercial director, Matt Cheevers, said: “We are creating dynamic and inspirational specialist websites that will offer the most comprehensive range of holiday products, all sourced from leading suppliers.

“Our aim is that consumers will recognise these as being the leading websites of choice when looking for a UK or luxury break.”

The move into the luxury market comes during a strong period for the sector, with growth levels estimated at 12% and cornering around fifth of total expenditure.
