The Co-operative Personal Travel Advisors (CPTA) is working on a new e-commerce strategy with a website revamp at its heart.

Tracie Burton, who started her role as head of CPTA in August, said it is planning to start work on a relaunch of co-operativepersonaltraveladvisors.co.uk in the New Year, giving the site a fresh look and feel.

She said: “There will be a key focus on increasing quality and content. For example, all the CPTA’s all have their own biography page. We’re going to be working with them to make sure they are getting the most out of those pages.”

Burton said the pages can make a huge difference to the individual business of the CPTAs, however some are better at keeping them updated than others.

The website relaunch will use resource gained from the joint venture with Thomas Cook but there will also be dedicated personnel assigned to developing the CPTA’s ecommerce strategy. More money is to be spent on SEO and PPC, and nn email strategy will also be developed.
