Amadeus has been confirmed as the main sponsor for the 2013 Business Travel Show in London.
Amadeus is a leading travel technology partner for the global travel industry. The Business Travel Show, which takes place on 5-6 February 2013, is Europe’s main exhibition and conference for corporate travel buyers, managers and bookers to source, learn and network.
The partnership with Amadeus UK and Ireland includes sponsorship of the conference programme, hosted buyer lounge and aftershow party at Madame Tussauds.
Amadeus will undertake in-depth research ahead of the show on February 5-6 into the attitudes of business travellers, including their use of technology.
The preliminary findings will be presented together with selected results from the show’s annual business travel buyer survey during a keynote address on February 5.
Amadeus UK and Ireland marketing director Rob Sinclair-Barnes said: “Amadeus is better connected, not just in terms of breadth of travel content and seamless systems integration with key stakeholders, but we also want to help travel buyers connect with the latest trends and how travellers are using technology for business travel.
“That’s why we are currently conducting research that will give those in attendance at the Business Travel Show actual insights into the business traveller of tomorrow, which we believe will be of real use to the way people conduct their business.”
The show’s event director Dave Chapple said: “We believe Amadeus’s decision to take its support to a new level this year is testament to the success of the 2012 show and, in particular, the launch of our fully hosted buyer programme.”
