Luxury property rental site onefinestay is to develop agency sales with the appointment of a head of worldwide sales.

Former Great Hotels of the World sales and marketing director John Clarke joins the company in the new role.

He will be responsible for the building relationships with the travel industry and creating a worldwide sales organisation.

Clarke is to develop a campaign of ‘global outreach’ to travel agency partners, spanning both leisure agents and corporate booking agents, to enhance onefinestay’s growth and raise awareness of the brand concept within the industry.

He will develop a global sales strategy and build a sales team across key international markets.

Clarke’s previous experience includes sales and marketing director at the Millennium Hotel in London’s Mayfair and several years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, including a year at The Westin in Sydney.

Chief executive and co-founder of onefinestay Greg Marsh said: “We are hugely excited to welcome John and bring his extensive knowledge of the hotel industry to bear on onefinestay’s unique ‘unhotel’ business.

“John’s wealth of experience in sales and marketing, and particularly the global reach of his expertise, will be invaluable – especially as we continue to expand internationally into yet more major world cities.”
